A common improvement to the HZJ105 Toyota Landcruiser wagon, is the fitment of an aftermarket turbo to improve the power and torque of the 1HZ diesel motor. When fitted correctly, the addition of an aftermarket turbo can improve power and torque by up to 30%, whilst not compromising the longevity of the engine. Of course, when fitting a turbo it is a perfect time to upgrade your exhaust system to ensure the best possible performance increase.
There are a number of manufacturers of turbo kits for the Landcruiser on the market today, including Safari, DTS, and Gturbo. Manta has a kit for them all! Our exhaust runs in glorious mandrel bent full 3”, right from the turbo face to the tail. We’ve found 3” offers the best possible power, with the lowest turbo lag. Additionally, a 3” exhaust system will reduce peak exhaust gas temperatures by up to 50 degrees, which is important for the longevity of your turbo system and engine. A number of different configurations are available for the 105 Series, so whether you’re chasing a truck-like sound, with plenty of turbo whistle, or you want the exhaust note to be as quiet as possible, we’re sure to have a solution.
